I love getting to know people, so, to help remove the "veil of spirituality", here are some personal, quirky things about me!

• I love coffee.  I mean, REALLY love it, as in an ongoing romance.  It has to be good coffee - you know, "rich people" coffee.  I'm Canadian, so I love my Tim Hortons passionately for my every-day brew (we own a Timmies brewer - fantastic!), and good specialty coffees, like Costa Rican, brewed right.  I love french pressed coffee, and going to fun little cafes where they roast the beans on site - there is nothing like the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans!  It's right up there with the fragrance of the Lord!

• No, this is not my natural hair colour.  You would not believe the number of times I've been asked that....lol.  I do enjoy my current style and colour, and on multiple occasions I've been stopped in malls, grocery stores and in conferences and shyly asked if someone can take a picture of my hair on their phone!  My friends have seen it happen so often, they just roll their eyes. :)

• I *am* the grammar police - but I'm lovingly quiet about it, unless asked!  I get a charge out of good grammar, and I tend to break out in a rash when I see apostrophes applied in the wrong places, run-on sentences, and the erroneous use of commas.  I think the semi-colon is one of the most beautiful grammatical tools that God has given the English language.  I probably could have taught grammar and language as a career and been satisfied....for a moment!

• I'm very organized...on the inside!! I love things to be clean, organized and put away, but in my house, it just doesn't happen.  I've learned to be ok with that, over the years.  You'd laugh to see my kitchen/office area, because there is "STUFF" everywhere; (see that beautiful semi-colon??) papers piled on my desk, books, CDs strewn around, bottles, jars, canisters - the paraphernalia of life.  However, if you open my pantry, or the cupboard doors, all the cans are in order, things are stacked neatly and logically, and everything is in its place!  Kind of makes you wonder what a therapist would say about that, hmmm?

• I love making music, and I love to worship and lead worship....but I hardly *ever* listen to music on my own time these days.  We have a particular soaking CD that plays in our house almost 24/7 (not mine! haha), but other than that, not much plays.  I find I have so much music in my head, that listening to more is overwhelming!  When I was pregnant with son #1, music in the car (which we'd always listened to, anytime we drove, at top volume) started to make me nauseous!!  WEIRD.

• I love STYLE.  Granted, it's my own sense of style, but it's something I have a lot of fun with!  In the photo on the back of the album, I embellished the t-shirt myself using a "Bedazzler"; the tool of sparkle-loving girls everywhere.  I like expressing my creativity through my hair, makeup, and clothes.  I love unique scarves, especially from other nations, and I adore great boots!  I'd love to be able to wear sandals all year (except for when I'm wearing great boots) but, in Canada, that isn't very practical.

• Going to movies is my favorite recreational passtime, and I get very disappointed if I pay for a movie that I don't end up liking.  When I invest my time and money into seeing a show, I want to LOVE it!  My favorite movie finds recently are Limitless, RED, and Despicable Me.

• I walk a lot, and it tends to be when I hear most clearly from the Lord.  I'm so anxious to get out in the mornings and walk, so I can meet with Him!!

• Good food is my primary love language! I love to eat it, enjoy it with friends, and I always want to be sure that everyone else is loving it too!  I like to cook for special occasions and guests, but I'm not too fond of the every-day meal making.  I'm an artist!!  Not so much with the domestic chores...lol. (Yes, that was a sentence fragment, and yes, I did it on purpose.)
